Large Scale Urban Projection Art - Friedrich Förster & Sabine Weissinger
born 1952, lives in Tübingen/Germany.
Study of natural sciences and researches in neurobiology at the University of Tübingen and at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen. Since the 80s development of specific slide projection and laser technologies in order to use them in his own artistic intermedia and multimedia projects as well as in artistic collaborations with musicians, dancers and visual artists. In the 90s awarded by Ars Electronica/A-Linz and International Laser Display Association/USA.
Since 1993 special focus of his creative activities on architectural large format projection.
Since 1999 permanent artists’ team ‘CASA MAGICA’ with Sabine Weissinger
born 1959, lives in Tübingen/Germany.
Study of art history and science of religion at the Universities of Stuttgart, Florence and Tübingen, accompanied by training in visual arts (Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart, Zeicheninstitut/University of Tübingen, glass painting studio G and F, Stuttgart) and work on cultural projects of the SDR-TV (South German Broadcasting). 1989-95 curator of art exhibitions and cultural events at the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart and managing director of the cultural centre “Sudhaus” in Tübingen.
1995-2000 journalist in the field of arts and architecture (review ‘glasforum’) and project partner of Friedrich Förster
